As the owner of Network Realty and President of a business consulting firm (Community Business Consulting
of Iowa - CBC Iowa), I am uniquely qualified to provide the assistance you may need, whether buying a home, buying or
starting a business or just wanting to know more about this great area! And there's more.
(TRIVIA ANSWERS AT BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE)
Prior to starting my own business, I spent more than 5 years as the Vice President of Housing and Economic Development
for the Newton Chamber/Alliance. In this role as Vice President of the Chamber, I managed a $500,000 USDA revolving loan fund,
mentored and helped finance many new business ventures and I served as the professional in charge of all aspects of housing for the
Newton community. I gave in-depth community tours to numerous executive prospects for the Maytag Corporation, Skiff Medical
Center, the Newton Community Schools and other business and community groups. I was in a unique position to learn about and
influence the housing market in Newton, cumulating in an all-time record for housing permit valuation during my last full year on the
job! If you are looking for the most experienced, knowledgeable person for your real estate needs, look
no further. Feel free to contact me to setup your professional community tour - realestate@iowatelecom.net .
I also believe in giving back to the community. Whether it is in my role as a Vice President of the local School Board or being involved in
community events such as the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and the wonderful Newton Fourth of July Parade, I feel community
must play an important role in all of our lives. The organizations and events I have been or am currently involved with also include the Sons
of the American Legion, United Way, PTA, Jaycees, Rotary, Willowbrook Adult Day Services Volunteer, ELKS Club, YMCA Scholarship
Drive volunteer.
My professional qualifications, beyond my Chamber background, include a BA degree from the University of Iowa in Economics and Political
Science with a Minor in Journalism. My professional involvement has included membership in: Central Iowa Regional Housing Authority,
Jasper County Builders Association, National Association of Realtors, Iowa Association of Realtors, Newton Board of Realtors, Professional
Developers of Iowa, Newton Housing Development Corporation, Iowa Chamber of Commerce Executives, American Planning Association
and more. I am also serving a 6-year, Governor-appointed term on the District 5A Judicial Nominating Commission.
With a wife and three wonderful children, my choice of community in which to live is paramount. Newton and the surrounding area have proven
to be a great fit for my family. Let me help show you that it can be the same for you and yours. Give me a call @ (641)792-1212.
