GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY A HUGE SUCCESS!!!

Groundbreaking ceremonies for the new Newton Iowa Speedway were attended by estimates of up to 1,500 race fans,

dignitaries and media types on Tuesday June 21, 2005, at the Newton Iowa Municipal Airport - 2401 East 28th Street South. 

The guest of honor was Rusty Wallace, track designer and former driver of the #2 Nextel Cup car.  LOOK BELOW to

massive dirt moving process to create
